Mount Auburn Statuary: A New Way of Seeing is a collaborative series exploring the transformative qualities of death, grief, and rebirth created with photographer Thierry Borcy during an artist residency at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA.
Thierry photographed the Cemetery’s monuments and landscapes; over each, I created a spore print. We re-photographed the results. Our work depicts the landscape, links human created statuary with natural materials, and presents the regenerative qualities of fungi and plants.
