About this piece: Made with bioluminescent spores of Jack O’ Lantern mushrooms and printed on black pastel paper; depicts bittersweet, rue, bleeding heart, and wild mustard. Part of the New Herbarium series, my interpretation of the practice of preserving and presenting plants. Inspiration for this series came from Emily Dickinson’s Herbarium.

The original 20 x 28 inch spore print is on view at the Brattleboro Museum until February 12, 2023.
